Plot
From "Fallingwater" to New York's Guggenheim Museum, Frank Lloyd Wright is the master behind some of the most celebrated designs in history.

His development as an architect, however, is perhaps best seen in the three homes he created for himself. Free from the wishes and demands of any client, these homes encompass the purest expressions of Wright's talents and architectural theories. America's Castles follows the evolution of the famous 20th-century architect's style: from the balanced simplicity of "Oak Park" (1891) to the obliteration of traditional boundaries between inside and out in "Taliesin West" (1937).

Go inside the off-limits "Taliesin" home (1911) in Wisconsin to see what many scholars feel is the most beautiful of all Wright's domestic designs and learn of the turmoil and tragedy that marked Wright's private life - including the horrific axe murder that took place inside this mysterious residence.
