Filmed on location in Hollywood, Bongidae! the first ever Silverback Music Festival was an ambitious attempt to bring together a lineage of musicians, legends for that matter, in the areas of Rock, Reggae, and Funk music, and to fuse them with some of today's future stars. Bongidae! boasts passionate performances from San Diego's dub rockers Slightly Stoopid, Jamaica's finest Reggae Dancehall pioneer Barrington Levy, New Orleans' Original Meters guitar prodigy Leo Nocentelli, Los Angeles's most influential third wave ska funksters Fishbone, Dubcat which features members of the Long Beach Dub Allstars, and Hepcat joined by Roots Reggae favorite Half Pint, and lastly the spiritual acoustic soul of Bermudan-born-singer-songwriter Mishka. Includes over 120 minutes of interviews and performances including Slightly Stoopid's "Mexico" with guest vocalist Half Pint and live performance of Fishbone's newest "Cheyenne Star Forever More."
